JV Orange Claims Victory Over OPRF/Hinsdale Central with Strong 3rd Period Performance
Willowbrook, IL - Last night, the JV Orange hockey team delivered an impressive performance, defeating OPRF/Hinsdale Central with a final score of 3-1. Despite OPRF/Hinsdale striking first on the scoreboard, it was Lincoln-Way who showcased their resilience and skill as the game unfolded.
OPRF/Hinsdale Central opened the scoring at 11:47 in the first period, giving them an early lead and momentarily dampening the spirits of the LW fans. However, Lincoln-Way quickly responded, with Jimmy Maurer leveling the score late in the first period. Maurer’s goal, assisted by Emmet Brkovic, shifted the momentum in favor of the JV Orange.
The second period saw both teams engage in a tightly contested battle, but neither side was able to find the back of the net, resulting in a scoreless frame. This defensive showcase set the stage for an exhilarating third period.
