JV2 Boys Hockey Team Dominates #5 IceCats in 6-2 Victory

The JV2 boys hockey team showcased an impressive performance on the ice tonight, securing a resounding 6-2 victory over the #5 IceCats. The team wasted no time, lighting the lamp three times in quick succession to establish an early lead that would set the tone for the entire game.

Delivering a strong defensive effort, LW held the IceCats scoreless in the first period, leaving the scoreboard reading 3-0 as the teams headed into the second frame. As play resumed, LW continued their offensive onslaught, adding another goal while allowing just one from the IceCats. This culmination of scoring brought the team into the final period with a commanding 4-1 advantage.

The third period featured exchanges on both ends of the rink as each team added another goal. However, the IceCats were unable to close the gap, and LW ultimately emerged victorious with a final score of 6-2.

A standout performance by goaltender Chris Green played a pivotal role in the win; he was exceptionally sharp, stopping 20 of the shots he faced throughout the game.

With this victory, the boys improve their round robin record to 1-0-1. They will look to build on this momentum as they prepare to face off against #8 Lake Forest next Saturday at 6pm at HF Ice Arena
